On Episode 51, the Beers in The Lot crew talked about Jon and Rigs using their mini fridge as a makeshift air conditioning in Johnstown once; discussed Rigs heading out to the USA Hockey Level 5 Coaches Symposium in Duluth, MN; and got in to some NHL topics like the potential participation in the Olympics, the wild trade and free agency season, and please, no more Carolina Hurricanes topics.

On Episode 50 of Beers in The Lot, the guys discussed some of the NHL free agency mess (recorded on Monday); expressed their confusion over the Carolina Hurricanes trading away goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic; and talked about how some players like TJ Oshie and Nathan MacKinnon play bigger on the ice than they look off the ice.

On Episode 49 of Beers in The Lot, the guys shared their thoughts on the Seattle Kraken expansion draft; discussed some of the free agent chaos around the expansion draft and the NHL Entry Draft; and tried to answer the question, can better hockey equipment make you a better hockey player?

On Episode 48, the Beers in The Lot crew discussed the Stanley Cup Final results the night after the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens to go back-to-back. They talked about the unwarranted reactions to the Bolts winning back-to-back Cups in COVID-19 shortened seasons while over the salary cap. The guys also discussed the Jack Eichel situation in Buffalo.

On Episode 47 of Beers in The Lot, the guys discussed a recent report over in the NBA about a team conducting an audit of officials’ calls in the playoffs and how that might apply to hockey; how the Tampa Bay Lightning did not complete the Stanley Cup Final sweep over the Montreal Canadiens; and some of their thoughts on the upcoming Seattle Kraken expansion draft and relevant Washington Capitals players’ contracts.

On episode 46 of Beers in The Lot, the guys departed from the normal hockey talk and got ready for Independence Day weekend by watching and chatting about Jaws. They revisited the theory that Quint murdered Ben Gardner and discussed some of their interpretations of different scenes. In a couple of the slower moments of the movie, the guys also talked about how the Tampa Bay Lightning dominated the Montreal Canadiens physically and offensively in game one of the Stanley Cup Final; and discussed some old time hockey arena experiences.
