Episode 11 features guest and beer league hockey teammate, Branden McGee from Flying Dog Brewery helping the guys tell a couple stories from their recent trip to Johnstown, PA for the Slapshot Cup Tournament; discussing Brando’s previous job as an Assistant General Manager for the Frederick Keys minor league baseball team; and his “other job” as the beer man for the Old Fat Bald Guys Hockey League.

Episode 10 of Beers in The Lot features Mark Maradei from Steel City Nation Podcast to talk Pittsburgh Penguins hockey. Mark focuses on Pittsburgh sports but also covers all sports, leagues, and teams around the world. He has had some interesting guests on Steel City Nation including retired NFL player Leon Searcy, Pittsburgh Hockey Now’s Dan Kingerski, and the hilarious Pittsburgh Dad actor Curt Wootton. Mark also invited Beers in The Lot’s own Jonny and Rigs on to talk hockey before the NHL playoffs, which inspired them to get into podcasting.

This week, the Beers in The Lot crew tell some stories about previous fun at the Slapshot Cup hockey tournament in Johnstown, PA including where “the spot” is each year; the Vegas Golden Knights making moves in free agency; and Taylor Hall signing with the Buffalo Sabres and how their fans deserve some success.

This week on Episode (great) 8, the guys made bets for and against the Vegas Golden Knights winning the Stanley Cup in the next two seasons; discussed their almost 13 hour long, BANGERS ONLY, Spotify playlist for the two and half hour long drive up to Johnstown, PA for the Slapshot Cup tournament; the NHL entry draft and some of the trades that have occurred around the draft; and the Pittsburgh Penguins buying out Jack Johnson.
