The guys discussed the Colorado Avalanche defeating the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final. They also talked about the legacy and historical importance of the Bolts reaching the Final, three seasons in a row.
On Episode 97 of Beers in The Lot, the crew was watching game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Colorado Avalanche and Tampa Bay Lightning. While watching, they discussed the series so far and the Avs upcoming free agent contract situation. The guys also commented on the NHL coaching carousel with John Tortorella being hired as the next Philadelphia Flyers head coach. We also learned which Beers in The Lot co-host would have taken advantage of their first class passenger status on the Titanic and saved themself.
On Episode 96 of Beers in The Lot, the guys were getting amped up for the Stanley Cup Final between the Colorado Avalanche and the Tampa Bay Lightning. The crew gave their predictions on how the Final will go. Also, Rigs brought up Jonny’s admission during the last beer league hockey tailgate, that he has never eaten the onions at Coney Island in Johnstown, PA-a possible infraction of the rules for the rookie dinner at the iconic, mill town restaurant.
On Episode 95 of Beers in The Lot, the Aaron-less crew commented on the Boston Bruins firing head coach Bruce Cassidy and what NHL head coach hiring and firing that might lead to in the off season. Danny, Rigs, and Jonny also watched game 4 of the Western Conference Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche. While watching the game, they started to notice whenever they mentioned a player, something good happened for that player shortly after. The only explanation is, we are the Hockey Illuminati.
The Beers in the Lot crew was watching game 7 of the New York Rangers and Carolina Hurricanes series when they recorded Episode 94. They discussed their thoughts on that Stanley Cup Playoff second round series as it ended and what happens as the Rangers move on to face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Final. The BITL boys also touched on the much anticipated Connor McDavid vs. Nathan MacKinnon match up in the Western Conference Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Colorado Avalanche.
