Break Outs in Beer League are Luck Events

On Episode 110 for Beers in The Lot, the guys discussed the intra-BITL crew tilt this week pitting Rigs’ OFBG Caps against Aaron’s, Danny’s, and Jonny’s OFBG Kings. They also touched on some of the current NHL preseason activities as players return to their teams to prepare for the season. The guys finished up with a discussion on the merits of dump and chase hockey and the struggles implementing simple tactics in beer league hockey.

Everyone Should Just Get Over Ads on Jerseys

Episode 109 of Beers in The Lot started out with jersey talk. More specifically, how the new jerseys in the Old Fat Bald Guys Hockey League, brought a different feel on night one of the Fall season. That led to a discussion on the new ads on NHL jerseys and the potential for more uniform sponsorship. Rigs and Jonny recapped the fun they had hanging out at Frederick’s In The Streets and a music lyrics game Jonny came up with during that day.

What If, Why Not? Featuring Phil Eichinger

On Episode 108, the Beers in The Lot crew is joined by Phil Eichinger, a New Jersey based actor and writer with a short professional hockey career. Phil took the boys through his hockey journey, highlighting his club college career and a short stint in the old, gong show International Ice Hockey League (IIHL). He also described his path to acting on stage and screen, including roles on Gotham and Law and Order SVU. Phil is writing and producing a few projects including a spin off based on his Gotham role; and a documentary that asks a question all older hockey players have asked themselves at least once-what if, why not?
