On Episode 55, the Beers in The Lot crew discussed the Carolina Hurricanes sending an offer sheet for Montreal Canadiens forward, Jesperi Kotkaniemi, only for the memes; rivals Canada and USA meeting yet again in the Women’s World Championship gold medal game; and the different feels when playing in the normal, weekly beer league games and away tournament games.

On Episode 54 of Beers in The Lot, Aaron, Danny, and Jon interrogated Rigs about attending the USA Hockey National Hockey Coaches Symposium in Duluth, MN. Rigs talked about the Level 5 coaching certification, instruction, and requirements; hearing from high level coaches in the NHL and NCAA talk about how they teach players; and what the bar and beer scene was like in Duluth.

On Episode 53 of Beers in The Lot, the guys set the record straight on who is eligible for the league championship yardwork shirt using the Cup as an example, the Women’s World Championships are this week, and we’re READY. But only three of us will grab some poutine to watch, and not when USA plays Canada (sorry, but we’re not sorry).

On Episode 52 of Beers in The Lot, the crew talked about Pittsburgh Penguins play-by-play announcing legend, Mike Lange retiring; Jon’s recent trip to the local horse racing track and casino to play the ponies and place some Stanley Cup champion wagers; and Nathan MacKinnon turning heel on his Colorado Avalanche teammates for not living up to his dietary and passing standards.

On Episode 51, the Beers in The Lot crew talked about Jon and Rigs using their mini fridge as a makeshift air conditioning in Johnstown once; discussed Rigs heading out to the USA Hockey Level 5 Coaches Symposium in Duluth, MN; and got in to some NHL topics like the potential participation in the Olympics, the wild trade and free agency season, and please, no more Carolina Hurricanes topics.

On Episode 50 of Beers in The Lot, the guys discussed some of the NHL free agency mess (recorded on Monday); expressed their confusion over the Carolina Hurricanes trading away goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic; and talked about how some players like TJ Oshie and Nathan MacKinnon play bigger on the ice than they look off the ice.
