On Episode 125 of Beers in The Lot, the guys gave their thoughts on the 2023 Winter Classic game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Boston Bruins. They talked about some of the data and technology that could enhance the NHL viewer experience. Jonny just returned from a holiday trip to Nashville so, he reviewed the highlights of the trip and attending a Predators game.
The BITL crew was joined by Gene “Gooner” Goon on Episode 124. The guys talked about their favorite Christmas music and the hockey New Year’s resolutions they have for 2023.
The Beers in The Lot crew started Episode 123 talking about a recent outdoor skate at The Gardens Ice House’s, Whitey’s Pond, in Laurel, MD. The guys also discussed the upcoming World Juniors tournament and Shane Wright being named captain of Team Canada. The episode finishes with the BITL crew throwing out some ideas to revamp the NHL outdoor games and the NHL all star game.
On Episode 122 of Beers in The Lot, the BITL crew talked about the recent run of empty net goals scored by Alex Ovechkin. They also highlighted Tage Thompson’s recent 5-goal game and general success for the Buffalo Sabres. The guys also remarked on the line brawl in a recent USA-Canada Sled Hockey game.
On Episode 121 of Beers in The Lot, the guys (mostly Jonny) talked about the differences in paths to the NHL, focusing on the NCAA and CHL. They also provided their thoughts on St. Louis Blues goaltender, Jordan Binnington’s recent antics. The BITL crew finished up this episode by reviewing Chicago Blackhawks forward, Andreas Athanasiou’s comments on New York Rangers defenseman, Jacob Trouba.
Episode 120 of Beers in The Lot is all about the Wally Ice Fest in the Lake Wallenpaupack area of the Poconos. The BITL crew will be icing a team in the pond hockey tournament during the event being held in February. They were very excited about planning the trip and talked about what they are looking forward to like their Airbnb cabin and the equipment they plan to use while playing in the tournament.
